There is no way that weight loss supplements can work; I have tried them all. This past weekend I reading article in a First magazine and I was stunned by all of the advertisements for weight loss supplements. There had to be at least six articles claiming to be the "Number One Weight Loss Supplement". With obesity rates of the highest there is no way that any supplement can make you loose weight. It is the obese that buy into to the billion dollar weight loss market every year. The sales for weight loss supplement skyrockets while obesity is at its highest. I often ponder on the idea that there is something in the supplements that makes you gain weight to keep you buying more, with hopes that it will one day work. I have tried Hoodia, three different brands with no success, I have tried Alli with terrible side effects and only loose a maximum of two pounds. I like to challenge the supplements and give them a try. I am a vegetarian and I do not consume junk food; nor do I fry my food. I am a healthy eater therefore weight loss should be easy for me; but it is not. After putting on over twenty pounds thanks to medication prescribed by my doctor; I would try anything that says loose weight fast! Even more deceptive than the claims of the supplements is the body images that goes with the ads. The commercial for Stacker 2's shows three men with huge muscles and six-pack abs and yet society is led to believe that their bodies came from weight loss. There is a big misconception in the entire industry. The ad's for these supplements appear to be the perfect example of false advertising. In society today there is so much emphasis placed on being thin that people are desperate to try any thing that sounds good. Clothes are made smaller and the stores only stock the smaller size. I have even taken prescription Phentermine and after a certain amount of time it doesn't work. You loose weight, but it come right back, no matter what you do. If weight loss supplements did work millions of American's wouldn't be plagued with obesity. Then other the other hand if millions of American's weren't obese then they wouldn't need to be treated for diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes, and heart attacks. It would be more rational to take a weight loss supplement to loose weight and be healthly if they really worked. The high cost of the medical industry would be cut and premiums for health insurance would be more affordable if more Americans were healthy. Obesity play a major role in the health of society.
