Should the athlete or team compensate officials who fall victim to sports rage?
When I was growing up through childhood as probably most people never heard of sport rage to be honest I never heard of it until the two basketball teams became a part of a fight that involved unnecessary violence. The fact that it was reported on television was very disturbing to me. I would think that the organization would have prevented the incident firm being shown on and reported on television at all. Most recently when parents bring their children to little league baseball games, hockey games or practices of those games fighting and arguments have been known to break out of control I know this because I witnessed one. It was A little league baseball game and my friend was the coach he got into an argument with the umpire over a call that was made, and the umpire kicked my friends out of the game leaving the children confused and some began to cry.
Parents and other spectators were outraged at the umpires call was scrutinized by the little leagues governing body the individual I believe had to apologize and was let go. If the governing body of little league baseball takes control as shown, above why aren't the professional organizations doing the same?
Yes, my friend was outraged and he felt the call was unfair and the parents were behind him.
When you choose to play a game professionally or be a professional athlete, the expectations of individuals in the professional sports, athletes are held to higher standards.
If you think about it all games whether it be a board game or a game of soccer, games played for fun or for financial gain they all have rules that must be followed professional sports, amateur an athlete's their behavior is under scrutiny for a good reason because they're all in the public eye and can influence children in a positive way to go to school and get enough sleep a not get into fights.
And when the athletes and or team for individuals from the team might have difficulties when going to charity events or speaking in schools, because one of two actions might occur if they go into the event mentioned above all the questions might revolve around the negative events and the children seeing the broadcast will think it is all right and the coolst thing to do because they saw their heroes do it on TV or a charity might suffer lost contributions for their charities if the individuals who promise to come but do not due to two much negative publicity or suspension.
Today's society everyone needs heroes to be positive role models. Children most of all. When the professional athlete, team player the already understand the consequences are harsh and the fines can be levied heavily on the player. Like the players on a professional teams and athletes have rules and regulations that they must follow as well. In addition, the officials understand that there are certain risks of officiating the game or events they have been paid to officiate.
I also believe officials probably have unions that help in the officials receiving compensation in the case of injury. If a settlement could not be decided by mutual, consent than bring it to the courts and conclude it
conclude it
