Will Barcelona take titles for a third year?

Yes Barcelona are on fire this season, there team is an impressive unit going forward and defending at the back, its only been 21 games into the season and they sit at the top of the table looking like they are untouchable. But do not be fooled as in the past the league leaders have had large points gap between the second placed side and stumbled near the end of the season. It will show if their players have what it takes to win the title or show that they have given everything to early only to run out of steam.

By looking at their current records for this season they are mighty impressive, their home record is excellent with 29 from a possible 33 points dropping the 4 points from two draws. Barcelona have managed to score 40 goals in 11 home games and only conceding 7. That's 3.6 goals per home game not many top flight teams can boast such an impressive stat.

Even on their travels Barcelona have only slipped up once in ten games. They have scored 25 goals averaging 2.5 goals a game and only let in 8 goals. If Barcelona can keep this up the title will be theirs. No side in the Spanish league can match their records this season and with them being 12 points clear of their biggest threat in the form of Real Madrid can any one catch them.

Looking at their squad it is full of super stars playing their best football of their career and it looks like they will be rewarded with silverwares this year. With the likes of Henry Eto'o and Messi all firing on all cylinders they look to bring home the third title in three years.

Looking over the history of Barcelona FC you can only be amazed by their trophy collection their 19th league title is only a few months away.

Their run in to the end of the season could well be tricky for the league leaders with big games at the end of April and Beginning of May with away trips to Valencia and Real Madrid in succession. If they can come away with two draws may be enough but if they start to stumble this could be the vital part of their season where it could all change. How ever let's remember the strength in depth and unity that this Barcelona teams has.

So there is my case to back up my Yes vote that Barcelona can win another trophy to put in their hall of fame. I just can not see any other team catching them when they are in this type of form. Barcelona have proven and still are proving they are one of the best teams in the world and to make sure it stays that way they are showing just how good they are.
