I live in an area where we are lucky to have a great many specialized hospitals. There is a stroke center, a heart center, a children's hospital, and one of the leading cancer institutes
According to statistics from studies done in Korea, specialized hospitals often did better in several categories-
-short term mortality rates
-efficiency
-patient satisfaction
-income
The
Hospitals should not specialize! Why? What would happen if someone was in a country where only specialized hospitals existed and they were injured. Now imagine that the nearest hospital
