There is a buzz in the media and medical arena over a certain woman named "Thomas" who claims to be a man (but is really a woman). You may have seen her on the Oprah Winfrey show, the cover of time magazine and maybe even health discovery. Now for some strange reason the media acts as though America slept through sex education class, because this person is purported as some sort of medical breakthrough.

There was a time when men and woman who were obviously sexually deviant, would cross-dress and do their best to look like the opposite sex. If that was not dastardly enough, medical science has had nothing better to do than to learn to reassign the sexual organs of men and woman.

This is reminiscent of Frankenstein when the doctor says "we've created a monster". Listen close and you can hear the thunder cracking and the fiendish laugh of a mad doctor saying "a Pregnant Man". The very sight of this "pregnant man" is the badge of a confused and morally bankrupt people who are in rebellion against nature itself.

Let us take a walk through the ranks of nature for a moment to see if we can find some enlightenment.

Have you ever watched "Wild Kingdom", or any of the nature shows? If so, then surely you have seen the Antelope or some other animal give birth. Now I'm sure that it was not hard to distinguish whether or not it was a male or a female giving birth. The "male" Antelope planted a seed in the "female" Antelope and 6 months or so later, the "FEMALE" bore the calf. You can search the length and breadth of the animal kingdom and time again you will find this action repeated.

It is absolutely impossible for a male Antelope to bare a calf, his physical attributes will not enable him to. You can neuter the male and even spay the female so that they no longer have the ability to reproduce, but you cannot negate the fact that they are still male and female.

Now lets talk about mans best friend for a moment.

Do you know anyone who calls their male dog "girl"? or their female dog "boy"? of course not, that would be totally ridiculous. Have you ever seen, or known, or heard of a male dog delivering a litter of puppies? I am positively sure that you have not.

So what is the buzz about this Thomas individual?

"Thomas" who's original name is Tracy was born a woman, had all of the natural endowments of a woman, won a beauty pageant as a teen and later in life decided to become a man. After having her breast removed and a regimen of testosterone, she grew a beard and had her legal identity changed to that of a man. But this is the case in point; if Tracy wanted to really be a Thomas why did she maintain her vagina, uterus and ovaries? I thought men had testicles and a penis?

Tracy, or Thomas, declares to the public that she is a he, but the burden of proof lies in her belly! Newsflash!, males cannot bare children! Regardless of surgeries, hormones, or certified documents, a man will always be a man and a woman will always be a woman. They can do all they want to alter their birthday suit but inwardly they are still the same.

Now there is only one creature that I know of that has the ability to change from one creature to another and that is the butterfly. It starts out as a caterpillar, but after the process known as metamorphosis it emerges as a butterfly. This metamorphosis is very intense in which, the very tissue of the larvae is broken down and begins to assume the characteristics of the butterfly. This process can take some species of butterfly weeks to even months.

A man or a woman can see a surgeon for a few hours, be prescribed some medication but that is not enough. Nature ordained the life-cycle of the butterfly and metamorphosis is part of the life phase. The butterfly does not emerge half done or in need of meds to keep his butterfly-ness intact, the natural metamorphosis made a perfect change.

A doctor may consult with an individual and tell them that they can make them become the opposite sex, but he or she is lying. Thomas or Tracy, is a confused lesbian who allowed herself to be artificially inseminated by her lesbian lover with donor sperm. Is that a man? Are men born with vaginas now? Do they have ovaries and breast these days? Did mother nature rewrite the law? This whole debacle is embarrassing, sane people do not behave this way.

I am a male, was born a male and will die a male! I don't need hormones or any additives to make me look like, act like, or sound like a male. My wife is a female and she does not need any artificial flavors. When we came together, SHE conceived and SHE bore our son.

So to answer the question, "Thomas" cannot be considered the first pregnant man. I think it is totally bizarre that a person would attempt to pull off such a stunt. That person is sick and in need of mental health along with their mate, the judge who married them and the doctor that made all of this possible.

The feminists and the homosexuals can pander all they want in attempts to attack gender and the role of the male and female, but they cannot change mother nature. What is the point? Where does this labyrinth end?

The highly publicized story of Thomas, a pregnant man, has raised many questions. Among those asked is whether or not he is the world's first pregnant man. Other medical oddities and/or miracles aside, whether this is really the first time this ever happened clearly isn't the true issue. The real question is whether or not this pregnancy should be deemed valid given its extreme opposition to the views of the ever judgmental minds of the Moral Majority.

Appearing on Oprah with his wife by his side, this Thomas fellow revealed that he obviously wasn't born a man. Thomas, previously Tracy, was a woman who had undergone all the necessary surgical procedures to externalize a male persona that had been trapped within. The only female part he chose to keep was the womb due to his desire to have children of his own. What the opposition fails to realize is that Thomas did not give up his right to become a natural parent simply because he acted upon his desire to be who he really was. To Thomas, there was nothing feminine or motherly about carrying his baby. It was merely his duty as a parent. With his wife unable to carry children, Thomas was the only couple's chance at having a biological child.

Some may feel that this is an inappropriate environment in which to bring up a child. But I wonder why? Is it because the father was born as the wrong gender? What else? What other basis is there for this to be an unhealthy home for a baby? Is the baby's well being honestly threatened? Of course it isn't. All the surgeries and other transitions Thomas endured on his way to becoming male all happened before the baby ever came to be- so how can it possibly affect her? When the child is born, she will be with a mother and father who went through obstacles to have her and will therefore cherish her for the rest of their lives. Consider all the barriers this couple had to overcome to conceive this baby. Such an anticipated child as this one no doubt holds a great advantage over children born in less prepared circumstances. Obviously this couple is more than emotionally and financially ready to be parents.

Preconceived notions aside, contemplate the most valuable components for raising a child. What do kids need most? They need devotion, patience, understanding, and most of all, they need love. From what I saw of this couple, they have all of those things and with more to spare. Whether Thomas is the first man to experience this doesn't matter. Equally unimportant is his unique situation which has received national attention. What matters is that we as adults learn to tolerate something different than what we have been conditioned to. Instead of sitting on our high horses in front of the television and computer screens damning all that we don't understand, why don't we acknowledge that we are not better than anyone and simply let others be who they are.
A baby is indeed, being born into unusual circumstances, true. But a baby is also being born into a loving and complete family. That should be all that matters.
