Is the information in the Bible relevant to today's classroom as a textbook on every subject?

In today's setting authors comes in different background, culture, and traditions. Doctorates or masters in each field of studies, honors and graduates in each field, tried their best so they could enhance the system of education. Knowledge and skills based on facts and information's gathered were implemented. Learning is a continues process. Exemplified by the written words, our textbooks used for different field of studies, which serves as a guide or reference to every subject. Bible relevance in today's classroom on every subjects should mainly based on individuals Faith, if he or she is a believer then she could recognized the facts known to man which the Bible uphold.

Textbooks differ from the Bible, textbooks limits its content to the subject matter covered by its specific area and could be enhanced and edited. The Bible comprised of 66 Books divided in The New Testament and Old Testament
Every believer of the Bible believes that this is a Holy Book or called A Holy Bible, others can refer you to this passage, from Revelation 22: 18-19 that states:
18 for I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book; if anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in the book;
19And if any anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophesy, God shall take away his part from the book of life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
So, no word could be added or subtracted in this book.

The types of books according to its content were fictional and non-fictional. From scroll to manuscript, wood block printing, to movable type and incunabula to modern world, monotype to linotype, transition to digital format e-book or electronic books. Books are primary used for reading, study guides, learning tool, used for writing guides, analysis exercise, evaluation or for social academic group discussion or artistic artifacts this books convey different ideas, skills and knowledge written to educate people or to provide the basics for learning.
The Holy Bible or GOD'S Word is the manual of Christians as the bases of their Faith and life's action from Genesis or the beginning, historical highlights, spiritual standards to practical precepts. Morals guide or compass for eternity it in the spiritual aspect of life. We human beings comprised of physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual state.

According to the Gideons International. "The Holy Bible contains the mind of GOD, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the Christian's charter. Here Paradise is restored heaven opened, and gates of hell disclosed. CHRIST it is the grand subject, our good the design and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, and paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents".

In conclusion the answer to this question or statement is a Yes and No, If you are unbeliever the answer is definitely No, the information in the Bible were irrelevant to today's classroom as a textbook on every subject. But if you are a believer or a Christian it is still relevant to today's classroom textbook on every subject.

Is the information in the Bible relevant to today's classroom as a textbook on every subject? As a Bible-believing Christian, I would say no. While the Bible is relevant in every part of our lives, including education, it was not written to be a textbook. It was written primarily to instruct us in spiritual things, and is therefore missing many things that are in today's educational world seen as "essential". For example:

Science: The technological and scientific knowledge required to complete modern education goes far beyond the scientific scope of the Bible. The most observational science one can derive from the Bible is that the earth is a sphere hanging in space. As far as I know, one can't acquire a working knowledge of chemistry or physics from only the Bible.

Computers: Computers are everywhere, and you won't find a single mention of them in the Bible. So, if one wants to learn to program a computer or use Photoshop, the Bible will not be much help as far as information goes.

Mathematics: While some people think that the Bible is wrong because it says that Pi is equal to 3 (I won't get into the details, but apparently God is at fault for not telling non-mathematicians using approximate measurements the exact measurement of pi), the Bible doesn't really say much about math. I haven't yet found the Pythagorean theorem or read where the FOIL method was explained.

History: While the Bible contains the history of God's dealings with humans (mainly the Jews), it's silent on the activities of Native Americans, the Chinese and many other cultures and areas of the world. To get a full knowledge of world history, you'll need more than the Bible.

Music: While there's a lot of music in the Bible, it doesn't teach one how to play the harp, lyre, or drum. You can learn a lot about Hebrew poetry though, I suppose.

These are only a few of the things that modern academia insists that we need to know, but the Bible alone will not give us sufficient information. Clearly, while the Bible is useful in every situation, we still need other textbooks.

If you want to use the Bible as a foundation for education, that's great! I have no problems with teaching science, history, literature, etc., from a Biblical perspective; however, in the classroom, we need other textbooks as well. There are many good curriculum's (for home schools and other schools) that teach each subject from a Biblical point of view. I would suggest that anyone who wants to teach from the Bible acquires one of those curriculum's rather than trying to teach every subject from the Bible.

In short, the Bible is relevant to every area in our lives, and while studying the Bible can help with one's education, we need textbooks that teach specific knowledge from a Biblical perspective rather than relying on only information found in the Bible.
