Mac

There is many things that a person will have to take into account when trying to purchase, their first personal computer. What someone should take into account when looking for a computer is if they want a laptop or your standard desk to computer, to determine if the computer will be used for photo editing or anything like the sort which will take up a lot of virtual and hard disk memory which can cause the computer to go slow. What a person should do when a buying a computer for media like things such as gaming etc, they should get a bigger hard-drive then what comes with the computer and upgrade the RAM in the computer. The best investment for any consumer which getting a Personal Computer is totally a Mac, and the reason fo me saying this is due to the fact that all program are pretty much compatible with both Mac and PC. Also you will save lots of money in Anti virus programs, firewalls, Anti-phishing software as no one has successfully created a virus or any type of worm that can get into Mac's operating systems as it is so complex-ed and versus a computer with running Windows Operating System the chances are much higher in obtaining a virus even you if have the best Anti Virus out there. I find a lot of people feel that the Mac Operating System is to sophisticated to use as the programs compared to Windows, But is it all worth it in the long run? Constantly spending money on upgrades and paying a service tech to fix the computers which can cause you a lot of money. I know this as it just recently happened to me and we had to get the computer totally wiped clean. So every consumers best bet is save a little money and then go to Mac and purchase the right system for you and I hear the technical team is very helpful and compared to Windows Technical team Mac out beats them by far. Also another thing about Mac is that you actually do not have a big old tower on your computer desk which takes up alot of room. Every person in the world should totally switch over to Mac and business should as well. This would save the world from all the hoaxes in people trying to create virus and stying it is going to hit on a set date. Microsoft currently has a 175,000 dollar bounty on the person who can find the person who created the virus that was suppose to hit today, but if you were to have a Mac you would have no worries. Mac is the best way for anybody who wants a personal computer.

PC

Although I am in no way endorsing Microsoft, I do suggest PCs over Macs. As a computer tech that builds, services, and repairs the internal hardware and software of PCs, i know what is possible with a PC over a Mac.

Now Macs do have spec-to-spec better processing power over PCs, and there are less computer viruses out there for Macs than PCs. However, that doesn't stop the Mac from slowing down the computer with back ground programs that take up resources. Or actual living hackers from taking control of your Mac.

PCs do have the market when it comes to antivirus needs, even the types of threats are more wide spread. There are thousands of potential dangers with owning a PC over a Mac. But that's only if you buy a Windows OS with your PC. Because in the land of computers, where you can be hacked at your local starbucks on your coffee break, you need another option.

Enter the Linux build. PC Parts with a virtually unhackable operating system. I say that it almost can't be hacked. The reason being is that in most Linux distributions, every command has to be followed by the user typing in their master password. This means that if anyone wants to hack you, you have to personally give them permission. On one hand this means that to open your documents folder you need to enter your password, but on the other you are hack-proof.

In a normal debate over Windows and Mac, Windows computers are cheaper by far and they can be custom built and repaired. If you have ever opened up a Mac computer case to clean for dust, you know how hard it is to get to everything. The slim design of a Mac creates heating problems and air flow issues. Then again, Dell, HP, Compaq & Sony computers build theirs with little available room as well. The perk about buying a custom built PC are the options. If you want to have any ultimate gaming machine, you can pick out the parts and even allow for larger upgrades in the future.

Now you may be wondering how Linux fits into all of this? And why, if the PC has less processing power compared to the Mac, would you buy it? The answer in all in the OS. If you install a Linux OS on a PC computer that might normally run windows, the result is a tweaked custom ride. You have just "pimped your computer." The Linux system runs on much less than Windows. That means that instead of hogging your resources at start up, Linux only uses what it need, when it needs. Making our computing experience faster and more pleasurable at the same time.

Therefore, if you ask what hardware is the best, considering all factors. It is PC hardware with Linux OS & software. And if you have to buy a Mac, thinking you are safer, remember the 2007 hackers conference. There, taking first place ahead of all others was the Mac Airbook. It beat all other laptops with the fasted hackable time of two minutes flat. Yes, the Mac had been hacked. Peace of mind for those buying one on the decision of safety alone.
