There is a famous joke that has been going around for quite some time. It goes like this:

Two young men were walking along the road one day and came up to a cemetery. One stopped and read out loud one of the headstones. It reads "Here lies an honest man and politician". "Well what do you think about that?" said the man after reading the headstone. "Hmm.. it looks as if they bury people here on top of each other!"

It may seem funny but it is also quite true. There does not exist an honest politician. The two words when used together can in no way be referring to one person. This statement may be of great argument to a lot of people but I do believe it holds. According to a very interesting analysis of the word "Politics" (one that I am a particular fan of) it says that the word "Politics" comes from two words; The Latin word "Poly" which means "many" and "tics" which describes "blood sucking creatures". The equation: Many + Blood Sucking Creatures = Politics. How was that for a math class?

Going back however to the question at hand, can an honest politician be elected? It brings about a number of arguments and many would think that I base my assumptions and opinions on past experiences with dishonest and dishonourable politicians. While this much is true I am willing to give any new comer a chance to prove me wrong.

The thing is I have seen many honest men and women, full of integrity, honesty, character, charisma and loyalty to country and to people, step up to the plate and hit the ball out of the park. These said individuals, for some reason have always found themselves in some slimy operation and their once good name is tarnished forever. Corruption is rampant in all the world's political systems and a corruption free government is just a political myth and ideology that is used to delude the minds of the masses who are unsuspecting and all believing of the person on the pedestal.

An honest politician? Never. Maybe an honest man, but once he steps into the political arena there is no way that honesty will prevail over the moralities of politics. That again is another misconception that the masses have. Politics has a morality of its own and your years of good morales and values do not stand a chance for this game. The 'good morales' that you portrayed during the campaign will not hold you through once you get your hands on the national treasury. This I have seen time and time again.

Okay, so let's not be so harsh on this 'honest politician'. Let's say a person like this does exist (hypothetically). Another factor of dishonesty has become inherent among these so called good men. This is because power not only brings money but also women. I do not think more should be said after the tale of the honesty of one 'great' politician, whose name i will not call, and whose action have now lead to us being able to enjoy a very good cigar. Good-bye Cubans!

These short points outlined are just touching the surface. In truth and in fact the terminology used, "honest politician" is just a tactic used to sway the population and really and truly cannot exist. If anyone wants to be just an honest person, I am sure that they will agree!

Yes

It's simple to say that no honest politician can be elected because all politicians are corrupt. That's fine if you want to think superficially. The issue is much more complicated than a cheap stab at politicians. On the other hand, I'm not so naive as to believe that corruption does not exist in America. I wish all the things I learned in grade school about America being this wonderful, happy place where truth always prevails were still true. So, my answer is yes an honest politician can be elected, but my answer is conditional. I believe that an honest politician can get elected, BUT the general American populace must grow much more educated and interested in politics.

Let me explain myself more thoroughly. Think of the last two elections. Really, I encourage you to think back as far as you can remember, but I'll just analyze the last two. What were your choices? In 2004 you had Bush or Kerry, but what did you really have: A member of the Skulls and Bones and the New World Order or a member of the Skulls and Bones and the New World Order. Did it really matter which candidate you voted for. Sure, one had more liberal views, the other more conservative, but both were equally influenced and loyal to the same powers. If this is the point where you get off the bus yelling "conspiracy," then you were like me not long ago. We've been conditioned to believe that any talk of a conspiracy is laughable. The real truth is that most Americans believe there is something wrong, but fewer know what it is. The real truth is that conspiracy is the norm in America, and honesty on the part of the government should be the thing that seems outlandish to us; but again, we are constantly being conditioned to dismiss any talk of corruption and conspiracy. Unfortunately, these secret organizations are real and their members will admit both to membership and their goals. Carroll Quigley, historian, author, and recruiter of Bill Clinton to this elite group of oligarchic leaders brags in his book "Tragedy and Hope" about all they have been able to accomplish through fiscal dominance by means of the Federal Reserve to subversion of our education system, etc. He states in so many words that he wishes the organization would be more public; after all, they are so far progressed that they can't be stopped now.

Now think of the 2002 election: Bush or Gore. Again, your choice mattered little, because both horses in this race are funded by the same group. Do you really think Bush and Gore despise one another? Bush and Clinton? Sure, each wanted the pomp and grandeur of being president, but these guys are chums. They meet regularly in their roundtable discussions in the Council on Foreign Relations, which is not a governmental institution at all, but a club wherein these elitists meet. They simply give it a name that sounds governmental just like the Federal Reserve which, as the saying goes, is no more "federal" than Federal Express.

Now look at this year's elections. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Jon McCain are all members of the Council on Foreign Relations. They all attend the Bilderberg meetings and participate in the same discussions with the same international bankers and other foreign politicians that belong to these groups. It's like being asked to vote for Josef Stalin or Mao Zedong. Sure, they might have differing ideas on how to effect their goals, but the goals are the same.

So, is there hope? Absolutely. But until we stand up as Americans and kick out the establishment powers that be, we can never truly have a choice on who gets elected. We came close this time. I know of two honest candidates in this year's group: Romney and Paul. I don't care whether you agree with them or not; they are both honest men that have no ties to secret societies; they are, as far as I know, the only two. That's scary.

So what is an honest candidate up against? Well, first of all, he has to figure out how he is going to publicize himself. The vast majority of American media is controlled by the collective wealth of the men that belong to the Council on Foreign Relations, and it has been that way since 1917 when J.P. Morgan bought the 25 most powerful newspapers in the US because he was told that is all it would take to control the media, according to Stanley Monteith. So, the strongest weapon for gaining public favor is on the leash of those that want to quell the honest politician. Hence, an honest politician must do well in the few moments of media time he gets. It would also help, like in Romney's case, to have a vast personal fortune to use in buying airtime. He can also dominate the grass roots media like Youtube and Facebook and Helium.

Another obstacle to the honest politician is getting endorsements. It's easy if you belong to a secret society that has vaulted past presidents, governors, senators, members of the state department to high positions because these people will surely back their fellow member. Look at who has endorsed the current candidates and compare that with the membership lists of the Bilderberg group and the Council on Foreign Relations and the connections become painfully apparent. It's much more difficult for the honest politician to get endorsements; he has to earn them, and he has to do it from the narrow field of other honest people.
Finally, the honest politician can count on millions of dollars being spent by those to whom millions mean nothing to disparage his character in all the establishment media. It's not just getting your message out there, it's correcting the false statements made about you and maintaining the confidence of the American people when the number one influencer of the people is determined to sink you.

So, what needs to happen to elect an honest politician? I would suggest the following: first, Americans needs to stop depending on and swallowing whole-heartedly the nonsense that is passed on to us through the establishment media. Get your news from the internet. Continue to use Facebook and Youtube and Helium and spread the word.
Secondly, and most important, we must reject any person categorically that is a known member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderberg group, Skulls & Bones; anyone that has ever had ties with the New World Order or other secret society; or anyone that has ever even been sympathetic to the agenda of these organizations, which is to establish a world government, reduce the population to 500 million, and end religion as we know it. These are a few of their objectives.

If we can educate ourselves and determine not to be the pawns of these men, we will see honest politicians that will advance America. We have accomplished so much as a people, and we could do so much more if we unbridled ourselves from the burden of bondage to this cabal of power-hungry elitists who think continually of more ways to control and exploit us.
