The answer is no. I am aware that that might surprise a lot of you. The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to show up to play more then you know. Everybody thinks they are going to go into the Patriots territory and get slaughtered. However, the simple fact of the matter is that, that's just not going to happen. While the New England Patriots offense is without a doubt the best in the league, their defense is not as great as they have been in years past. I find it very disrespectful to everyone who has made the playoffs. The entire NFL press has basically have already gave them the superbowl title, and they haven't even won a playoff game yet. Yes they had a perfect season, but that was the season, not the playoffs. This is due or die, and it doesn't matter what your record is. It doesn't matter how many records you've broken, yards you've accumulated, or the players you have. All the matters in the playoffs is that you win! Plain and simple. It doesn't matter how you win, as long as you do. Just because you have a perfect season doesn't guarantee you anything. Because despite that season or not, if they go in and loose to a good team of the Jaguars then that makes there season pointless. That is basically like the USA basketball team, that beats everyone all year out of a hundred games, and goes to the olympics and fails.

The game on Saturday is going to be a game of greats. You can well believe it will probably be the best playoff game of the playoffs this year. When the Jacksonville Jaguars play perfect they cannot be beaten. I don't care what team they are playing up against. The key thing that the Patriots have to have is great play from Randy Moss. If Randy continues to score and score all game long, and assuming Tom Brady hasn't thrown any interceptions then yes they have a good chance of winning. However, if the Jaguars continue their play I'm not sure if the Patriots can beat them. The Jaguars have a better running game, not as good of a passing game, but David Garrard is a much more mobile and athletic quarterback. They also have a better defense, one of the best in the league. They are big, powerful, and mean, and know exactly what it takes to win the game. What it's going to come down to is who really wants it the most. That is going to be the team that deserves to win.

Most people are going to look at this game and see it as a joke. That there is no way the Patriots would give it up. Now when you are sitting there watching this game, stunned out the outcome, maybe you won't be so quick to judge a team so hastily. You will see how much hard that the team from Florida has. And when the outcome arises we will all be talking about it for years. The winner of this game is going to be the team that continues to fight up until the very end. Ironically these teams are very much a like. They know how to fight back to win a game. They both have a great defense, and they both rely on the quarterback to get them out of trouble, and to carry the game on their shoulders. So if you thought you saw some great games from New England and Jacksonville this year, you haven't seen anything yet.

Yes

Yes, the New England Patriots can and will keep their momentum from being 16-0 even after their first round bye. Why? It's quite simple. They're really good.

For one thing, they are the best coached team in the NFL. Bill Belichick is widely regarded as a coaching genius, and it's hard to argue with the success that he has had over the past few seasons. Under his leadership, the Patriots have been the most successful franchise in the NFL over the past decade, with 3 Super Bowl victories over that time. There may have been some second thoughts about him after the scandal involving the camera incident, but those all should have dissipated after the Patriots kept on winning.

Next, they have Tom Brady. You can argue all day about which QB is better, but there is no doubting that Tom Brady (along with Peyton Manning), is one of the 2 best quarterbacks in the NFL today. He has a strong arm, excellent accuracy, good pocket presence, and he is surprisingly athletic. Plus, he is smart and makes very good decisions with the football. Now that he finally has a good receiving corps, he put up numbers that rank among the best ever put up for a single season. Tom Brady's a winner, and I don't think he will let them slip up and lose momentum after the bye week.

Last, the Patriots all around talent is staggering. Offensively, they have a great offensive line that consistently gives Brady ample time in the pocket. They have the most explosive WR in the NFL in Randy Moss (who set a single season record for TD catches) to go along with Wes Welker, who set a franchise record for catches this season. Laurence Maroney hasn't had to do a whole lot this season, but he is a very effective runner. Defensively, they are deep and talented. The Defensive Line can get to the Quarterback, the Linebackers are very smart, and they have one of the best secondaries in the NFL.

The Patriots are a team of very few weaknesses. They have the best coach in the NFL, possibly the best QB in the NFL, and possibly the best WR in the NFL. They have the most explosive offense in NFL history, and they have a stingy defense. This is why they will be able to keep their momentum and move on after their first round bye. This is why, I believe, they will be Super Bowl champions.
