There is no doubt about it. Loud music is 100% an environmental toxin, and for the unlucky ones of us who have had first hand experience of the poison, it's an environmental nightmare!

For the past 12 years of my life I have lived next door to a nutcase. I kid you not. My next door neighbour is a bona-fide drug induced nutter, with a passion for causing us as much sleep deprivation as possible. As I type, she is screaming to herself and the walls thud with the beat of a dreary and depressing cantillation.
Phrase upon phrase of the drone crawls beneath my skin and edges me to anger. More so when the dreaded music happens to be blaring into the early hours of the morning. Which happens every night.
The effect? Permanent dark circles and pale skin. A good deal of ill feeling. Grumpiness and the tendency to snap. Permanent damage to hearing - an affliction known as 'Ear-Plugs-Rammed-In to-Ears-So-Hard-It-H urts-Yet-Still-Fails -To-Block-Out-Noise' . Falling asleep at school or work - something that would see us shot if we were at war. Depression. The need for sleeping tablets.
Ear shattering noise truly is like a toxin that seeps into a life, envenoms a mind and drives people to despair. It may seem harmless. It may be intended as harmless. A one off party or celebration may be irritating to those surrounding, but din that is a permanent feature soon becomes unbearable.
Inconside rate/Evil Neighbours. Boy/Girl Racers. The contributors of noise pollution all show a lack of respect and consideration for everyone else in society.
Loud Noise is an environmental toxin that I wish I had an antidote for!
