Mankind today is seeing changes within our environment that Human Beings never saw before. It is a fact that the ice-caps are melting at an accelerated rate. It is a fact that violent storms destroyed billions of dollars of property and even more powerful storms will also destroy billions of dollars of property and they will raise the total number of the victims World-Wide.
As a matter of fact, these events could be the beginning of the end of all living things on Earth. Like it or not, we must find a way to remove the CO2 from our atmosphere before it won't be possible to reverse all of the sudden changes that have caused so much death and destruction to those living things and places that were unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the right time of those horrifying events.
Then again, melted ice is water, the weight of which is drawn to the equator causing additional pressure on a different section of the Earth's crust. Ergo, the increased possibility of earthquakes in those regions where more weight is added. As a matter of fact, there have been five major earthquakes within the last two years.
The huge amount of CO2 gas in the atmosphere isn't the only cause of global warming, but it might be the most contributing factor of what we see today. So much so that people lost sight of the loss of the ozone layer that now causes more UV radiation to reach the surface of our Earth.
Before CFCs were invented the average thickness of the ozone layer was about five miles thick. Now, a vast area of our Earth is protected by an ozone layer that is less than a mile thick or not even there in some places. Clrarly, the UV radiation index needs to be revised. What exactly does a current reading of 10+ UV index reading mean in regard to the amount of radiation that is reaching the Earth's surface at a given time on a given place? Such a reading exceeds the upper most level that index.
If the Sunlight on your skin feels hotter than it did years ago, that is the reason why it does seem to be hotter. The Sun's radiation is also hotter on any other object that comes in contact with it. That's why huge sections of the ice cover at the South Polar region of our Earth broke off and drifted North a few years ago. That is also the reason why we can now navigate by ship across Northern Canada from either coast of the Continent of North America.
In any event, it is now quite clear that Human Beings are the main cause for global warming and each and every one of us should now do all that we can to fix what we broke for the safety and well being of ourselves and for our future generations.
Whatever the cause, our World's Politicians better become "Green Friendly" in a mighty big hurry. The combined resources of the World's people must be put into solving those problem as soon as possible. According to some scientists, as more ice melts that will cause even more ice to melt, until such time that nothing can be done to stop or reverse what could be a complete seasonal melt-down of ice everywhere. So too, how many people will be flooded or burned out of their home, or die from starvation or injured or killed as a direct result of another violent storm, earthquake and/or increased volcanic activity?
Your guess is as good as mine, but you better believe that there will be a major shift of the population concentrations of people that now or will live on our ever changing Earth. Where will you go after you lose your home and are unlucky enough to still be alive?

Global warming is rapidly melting sea ice and less arctic ice means less sun reflection, which heats the oceans and creates stronger storms. Therefore, the recent climate changes are indeed related to global warming.
Mark Serreze, a senior science researcher, said that five years ago, they would never have thought it possible for the ice to disappear from the North Pole so soon. There are some who believe the Arctic meltdown is just part of a historic cycle. Mark Serreze says they're wrong.
"It's not cyclical at this point," Serreze said, "I think we understand the physics behind this pretty well. We've known for at least 30 years, from our earliest climate models, that it's the Arctic where we'd see the first signs of global warming. It's a situation where we hate to say we told you so, but we told you so."
If carbon dioxide levels double that of pre-industrial levels, temperatures could rise as high as 5 to 8 degrees by the year 2100. Subsequently, we could see catastrophic events of biblical proportions. Many scientists are saying that if global warming continues at this rate, it could seriously alter the climate.
Global warming is predicted to spur climate migration. People fleeing harsh climates will inundate neighboring regions, possibly spreading disease. One of NASA's top scientists said that global warming has gotten so bad that drastic action is our only hope.
The Myanmar cyclone and the earthquakes in China and Egypt have taken more than 200,000 lives and left thousands more devastated. Mega-storms like Katrina and Ike have ripped across our own country, taking lives and destroying property. All regions have experienced changes in the seasons. It even snowed in Baghdad. Whether our climate changes are associated with global warming or not, the changes are undeniable. Something is happening worldwide.
These horrific events could just as easily happen over here. People may deny that global warming is the cause, but they cannot deny the fact that something is affecting our climate and it seems to be getting worse.
There is a growing concern over the planetary alignment taking place in the universe, which is supposed to be complete by December 21, 2012. Apparently, the planets are lining up with the center of the Milky Way and the sun is approaching maximum.
A number of people believe this alignment may also be affecting our climate because other planets are also experiencing global warming. What's more, it is believed that the closer we get to the year 2012, the more unstable our climate could become.
Global warming denial is understandable as there's ample evidence and facts to support a number of theories. Nevertheless, perhaps it would be wise to consider the possible threats to your area and try to prepare for whatever disaster your area may be prone to.
Preparing for the physical safety of the ones you love is wise, but, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36)
There are a number of Christians who believe we are living in the "beginning of sorrows" that Jesus Christ described to the disciples.
"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." (Matt.24)
In Revelation it says that in the last days a single loaf of bread could cost a day's wage. There is war and threat of war in every region in the world. We have witnessed a rapid decline in the economy and oil prices are seriously unstable.
Global warming is heating our oceans and melting our glaciers. Countries around the world are experiencing food and water shortages. Diseases for which there is no cure are coming out of nowhere.
What should we do?
In my humble opinion, I believe there are some things a person simply cannot prepare for. If you research the 2012 theories, don't linger on the rants of the dooms day alarmists. If all of the things happen that they say are going to happen, no one could survive no matter how well they prepare.
Be that as it may, nothing matters more than our soul.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6).
With so many frightening things happening around the world, all of us should be drawing close to God. "... not a hair on your head will perish." (Luke 21:18)
