Was the Merck $4.85 billion payout to VIOXX drug sufferers fair?

Fair is not a word that should be used in the same sentence with the name Merck, or the letters FDA. The FDA and Merck knew perfectly well that viocoxibs and long term use for heart patients was a fatal bet, and the FDA went right ahead and approved it. Even after hundreds of thousands of deaths, they still did not pull it. Merck did for fear of lawsuits, without which, there would be no justice of any kind. FDA first amendment censorship now extends to oat based breakfast cereal, which must be registered as a drug to satisfy the servant of corporate fascism formerly known as the FDA.

Doctors commonly do not have any concept of what nutrition is because of fascist entities such as Merck, who fund medical research and the schools that presumably teach doctors, doctors who then must seek this exotic and blasphemous knowledge of nutrition on their own. Mind you, nutrition is large animal health 101, and here is where the sickness that is Merck really shows itself to be as cruel as it is, because Merck held the patent to the world's most effective wormer, Ivomec, until just a few years back, and they know better than anyone, the importance of nutrition.

The truth is that Merck does not want anyone who can pay for drugs to be healthy, and they have enough pull with FDA to do exactly as they please, damn the consequences to human life. The question as to the fairness of the lawsuit is nonsensical. No amount of money can correct the death and suffering the FDA and Merck cooly handed out in exchange for wealth and power on a vulgar scale, all the while sanctimoniously claiming to be the champions of the people they abuse.

In the category of sanctimonious supervision, we would be remiss in our duties to exclude the Supreme Court and it's failure to recognize mercury poisoning in vaccines as the cause of what is being called autism, now affecting more than 1 in 20 US children. Consider if you will also, the combined forces of the corporate media, the gross extravagance and extreme lobbying power of insurance companies, the Center for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, and Homeland Security in this recent swine flu scare. Taken together along with the effects of Tamiflu, especially the neurological effects which include suicide, being quite a handy side effect indeed since the evidence is buried and the victim is posthumously considered insane, and the picture we come up with is priceless, though Mastercard and Visa are certainly circling overhead for everything else.
