"As you think, you are".

Our thoughts are product of our imagination and external stimulus. Imagination is the main source of fantasy.

Our mind has to have an internal or external incentive to produce a thought, then an idea that will bring an action expressed trough words. A word is part of our language that has a meaning or significance.

We express everything that happens in our mind with actions and words.

"Fantasy creatures" are a product of our minds coming alive through our thoughts, actions and words. We always forget that our thoughts have creative powers. All we think, do and say, will always be there. We will not see or hear them because the fade in time.

Our history, beliefs, culture, in other words, all we know nowadays were first a product of our imagination that was put into action, expressed with words, then accepted by many and through Mythology and folklore became what we live on today.

Christians have their belief supported by faith. Eons of time ago, somebody had to have the idea of one powerful god that created everything. A first couple that will ruled over all things created. Incidentally they were Jews. In the world there are many other races. Where did they came from?

They believed that our planet was flat and the center of the universe. At the edges of our planet were monster and fire waiting for those who dare to come close. They really believed that, until someone proved them wrong.

Angels, the messangers of God had to fly between heaven and earth, so they grew feathered wings to acomplish their task. Of course they had to have wings, that was the only way they could fly. Birds were the only known creature that could fly, and they used feathered wings.

Our lives are are a product of the imagination of our ancestors, and in the future will be our imagination that will forge them.

I do not know why are we having this argument. Both sides are right. We choose in what to believe. What one group believes might not be what other groups believe, but that does not mean somebody is right. We are a product of our thoughts.

Thoughts and words have a lot of power, they can create sorrow, happiness, hope, love, hate, etc. Instead of thinking what is and what is not, let us pay more attention to what we think and say.

The way our world is today, should be a remainder that division, hate, and all that comes out of the way we think and talk are the more dangerous weapons that exist nowadays.

As for the question do fantasy creatures exits. literally no. thought the have been inspired by real life creatures. King Kong being obviously based on a gorilla, that in the late nineteenth century was listed in the encyclopedia as being a mythical creature. The Crackin, perhaps a giant squid or octopus. Dragons were probably a species of over-sized snake or maybe a pterodactyl. But as for fairies and elves I believe not. they are however part of a religious belief so who are we to say.

The part of the argument that is really interesting is that concerning demons, spirits and ghosts. The thing that puzzles me most about ghost is this: There should be a lot more of them than what there are. Out of the millions of people that die each day there are very few ghosts seen. According to the theory most pass over without any difficulty. In some circumstances like during a war or a car accident or some other incident causing a sudden and traumatic death. A ghost may become grounded and not be able to cross over because of its inability to accept that it is dead. So according to this reasoning, Hiroshima should be crawling with them. But I don't think there has been any more ghosts seen in Hiroshima than anywhere else.

Another thing about ghosts that puzzles me, and it might sound a bit silly, is that the theory goes. Only living things have ghosts. In that case why are ghost always seen wearing cloths. Clothing is dead and inanimate. Clothing doesn't poses any spirit. So why are ghosts always seen dressed. The are also seen sitting on chairs or handling other inanimate objects. How can a chair have a spirit? or for that matter a train, how can you have a ghost train. So I suspect that ghosts don't exist or that they are exceedingly rear. And what of the Christian perspective of ghosts being demons in disguise. The idea that ghosts are actually evil spirits trying to trick you. Fortunately, sightings of demons are extremely rear. In relation to the lack of sightings of ghost in respect to the death toll, they might be right. Then again, how can one not believe in ghost and still believe in demons?
