No, the judge couldn't have been more wrong awarding the spawn of Keven Federline and Britney Spears to "K-Fed". What he should have done is put the kids in a nice foster home and demanded that both parents give the foster kids a sufficient amount of money to care for them (I believe that about $20,000 a YEAR would have been sufficient.
The fact that there had to be a court hearing to determine which parent would get the kid was ludicrous. The fact is that neither of them are fit to raise children. Their track records should speak for themselves:
Britney Spears: I think I might have heard about her on the news or something. Didn't she used to sing or something a few years back? Seriously, it's next to impossible to turn on the Tv, log on to the internet, or go through the checkout line at the grocery store without hearing about her latest "breakdown", "drunken binge", or which other pathetic spoiled child she's hanging out with. I hear her little sister is doing her best to walk in her big sis' Prada pumps.
K-Fed: This guy is definitely not a poster child for fatherhood. To date he's fathered at least four children. Two of which he hardly ever sees because he's too busy trying to create more of them. The only reason he has any money these days is because of the massive stipend that Britney is required to pay him - and, of course, from his lucrative musical career (okay, okay. We can all stop laughing now).
In all honesty, I think the only responsible thing that the judge should have done is send the kids far away from both parents never to be seen again. This would have saved them a lifetime of being caught in the perpetual spotlight and they might have gone on to lead normal lives.
On top of that he should have demanded that Britney have her tubes tied and that K-Fed be castrated...okay, maybe not castrated, but a vasectomy might have saved mankind a little more headache. Both of these people are a complete waste of space. They weren't worth my attention when they were making "music", they weren't worth my attention when their respective careers were over, and they're definitely not worth my time now...
...and, yet I'm writing this article. I feel like such a sell-out.

Britney has proved by her seemingly reckless and irresponsible behaviour that she cannot handle responsibility. She is whimsical and tends to be guided by spur of the moment actions. This is certainly not expected from a parent and particularly not from famous parents who have kids. It takes a lot of level headedness to handle fame appropriately and sadly we have not seen that from Britney.
Compared to Britney, KFed has behaved well and has come across as a more responsible parent. Even after having a celebrity spouse he has tended to keep away from the spotlight. Hardly any incident of reckless behavior from KFed has come to light. Given the amount of media attention that Britney gets, it would be hard to keep such incidents away from the media. KFed certainly deserves kudos for that.
All said and done, the judge has given a sound order. The judgement has separated emotion from practical life. The judge has kept emotions away while making the judgement keeping the future interests of the children in mind. It is not uncommon for all of us to blinded by a mother's love for her children. One tends to think that children bereft of their mothers love will not be well taken care off and without a mother children will never get a decent upbringing. As it is even if the children were with a mother like Britney, they would hardly get any of the love, protection and attention that a mother provides her children. Therefore they are better off without her.
It might help to keep the children away from media spotlight to ensure they can have a decent and balanced upbringing. Hopefully they will grow up into responsible adults who can handle their mother's fame. No matter how hard they try, it will be difficult for them to step out of their parent's shadow. It is not that it can't be done but it is a difficult one. There are numerous celebrities who have successfully kept their offsprings away from public glare and bringing them into public life after they have grown into adults.
If Britney and KFed want to bring up their children as responsible citizens with proper education and decent upbringing then they need to put a lot of effort into it. Also they need to keep them away from Britney and her spoilt ways so that they can get a life of their own without any hangovers from their mother's dramatic ways.
