Helium’s new assignment system brings you hundreds of assignments each day. However, some assignments are only open to writers with certain qualifications. How to find these assignments? Look below!
If you are interested in applying for one of these assignments, send a cover letter, resume and two clips relevant to the assignment you’re applying for to experts@helium.com. Among the assignments we have open now:
- Experienced copy editors with an eye for detail who are comfortable working on a wide range of content and who can meet strict deadlines. Applicants must pass an editing test.
- An SEO editor to review and optimize content for search engine visibility and ranking. Must have solid understanding of and prior experience with keyword research and SEO best practices.
- Writers who can write authoritatively on a variety of technical topics, primarily on the subject of personal computing (but including application & utility software as well as peripherals and home networks)
- Writers conversant in small business marketing (not just Internet marketing, please) to pen articles that will help SMBs find new ways to engage customers and drive sales
- Regional lifestyle writers in the following areas: Alaska, North and South Dakota, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Mid-Atlantic, Mississippi/Alabama, Upstate New York, West Virginia. Assignments will be 450 words in length and cover a variety of regional topics including day trips, local activities, local attractions and more. Writers must have local knowledge of the regions.
- Auto writers knowledgeable about specific automotive brands who can write about the most recent product news, releases, awards and auto shows.
- Auto writers with general industry knowledge who can give helpful advice on car maintenance and care.
- Auto and lifestyle writers from Australia or New Zealand who are knowledgeable about BMW autos, general car care (all brands) or regional lifestyle topics.
- Writers in the Midwest and Southeast who are meticulous at sourcing historical information and adept at following a style guide
- Writers adept at covering basic legal information who can translate concepts into plain English
- Fact-checkers who can verify information for a wide variety of articles
