Different contests are good for different things, it all depends on what you are hoping to accomplish.
Nicholls and Chesterfield are the most prestigious and will take you far if you place highly (with 6,000+ entrants, the odds aren't always in your favor). Other contests (like Slamdance or the Producers Outreach Program) offer detailed script notes - which is well worth the $40 entry fee no matter
