Folk art can be represented through textiles as well as home furnishings. Quilts which are a form of folk art may show the life and ambitions of the quilter like houses, fields, farms etc. Antique folk art quilts are mostly made from cotton or wool but occasionally a silk quilt emerges which shows that the quilter is of a noble and affluent family.
