The film is set in Australia in the early 1940’s and stars Nicole Kidman as Lady Ashley who is a posh English woman. She goes out to Australia to find her husband who is working at their cattle ranch. When she arrives she is met by Drover, played by Hugh Jackman, who is to escort her to the ranch but the pair do not see eye to eye and she thinks he fancies her.
