US unemployment rate drops to a 3-year low

The U.S. U-3 Unemployment rate dropped to 8.3 percent for the first month of 2012 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The basis for the drop was the addition of a number called Total Non-farm Payrolls which was 243,000 new jobs. This amount was far above expectations by analysts surveyed by Reuters and by a company called Automatic Data Processing that stated 170,000 jobs were added for the
