The stigma of a mental health diagnosis
The mental health act has implications for people who are diagnosed with a mental health illness. The diagnosis more often than not will be where someone has done something wrong, or done something to hurt others unknowingly. The patient may or may not be aware of any illness. This makes the patient have some social stigma attached to mental health diagnosis as this may come as a suprise to the patient.
