The most common misconception about STD's is how to contract them. Sexually Transmitted Diseases are contracted through sexual contact. This means that in order to get them, you have to have sex with someone who has them. It's important to note that there are a variety of sex acts and most of them fall into four categories: anal, vaginal, oral sex and mutual masturbation.
