Why people travel by rail
With so many ways to arrive at a destination, walking, cars or buses, taking the train can be a useful option. Train journeys can be long distance or short.
Short trips, which are used by commuters, mean they can work on the train, some groups play bridge or learn a language when the journey lasts an hour or so. It is easier for a young mother with a buggy to get on and off a train than a bus.
Traveltrain is a subdivision of Queensland Rail and provides long-distance train connections within the Australian state of Queensland.
