Asthma in the world today can be far more easily controlled with today's medications than it could be years ago. When I was nine years old, I was taken to the hospital with my lips turning blue and all of the color gone from my face due to a severe asthma attack. It was my first attack, and my mother and I were not prepared for the event. She carried me to the car, and rushed me to the hospital.
