Poetry: The seasons of love

Summer how I loved thee in our hottest exchange
you stimulated my heart with burning passion
yet regardless how I tried, I could never look you in the eye
for we all know it was simply the heat of the moment
Autumn you should know, we had a wonderful beginning
we had a mellow affair, not too hot nor too cold
yet as the time passed, our time together grew shorter
soon enough our love was left to wilt
I take this thought into contemplation,
that our days has been a dream,
and in the vision we were one,
and none could come between,
Sojourning in Sin City, helpless to resist,
sometimes in misery or ignorant bliss.
Fighting against failure, succumbing to sin,
struggling
You are my strength
When my legs are too weak to stand
You are my shield
When life throws more than I can handle
You are the breath
