Roads rainbows and people were in my dream that night
I slept soundly as you watched above the doorway,
Finally I woke up from my peaceful dream, seeing nothing but blackness,
I sat up in my bed waiting for my eyes to get adjusted,
Quickly I looked around the room for the dogs but I was alone.

I felt so alone,
Like a baby bird with no mother in the night.
I couldn't get adjusted.
